About me

I grew up in church my whole life, but did not truly know Jesus until I was 23 years old. I knew about Him before that point, like a student who searched for correct answers on a test rather than knowing my teacher in a personal relationship. Since that point, my love for the Lord has grown, and I aim to live out a calling to be His hands and feet as an author and speaker.

I have been married to my beautiful wife, Jana, since 2009. I have a teenage son, Owen, and my youngest son is named Mitchell. I am a fellow parent pursuing Christ in the chaos of the spiritual, physical, and digital worlds. My book, Following Christ in the Chaos: 4 Biblical Principles for Parents, has been a journey that began with a distinctive calling after attending a Biblical Worldview Conference in California, hosted by Bob Jones University Press, in the summer of 2023. My desire is to partner with church leaders and organizations to provide clarity in the chaos as we pursue raising champions for Christ.

My professional career as an educator has led me to teaching and coaching teenagers at Hazel Green High School from 2008-2014, then transitioning into an administrative role as an Assistant Principal of Columbia Elementary, then two years in the role as Assistant Principal at Bob Jones High School, then Elementary Principal at Rainbow Elementary in Madison City Schools, one year as Principal of Riverton Intermediate School in Madison County, and blessed to serve since 2022-2023 as the Christian School Elementary Principal at Madison Academy.

When God made this calling clear in my heart, I committed to Him that if He brought this book to completion, I would dedicate myself to being His ambassador and giving Him glory. I seek to partner with church leaders by offering affordable speaking engagements and parenting seminars, church conferences, marriage retreats, or men’s ministry events that align well with any church budget.

I desire to use my skills as an educator to facilitate dialogue with fellow Christian parents as we passionately pursue 4 Biblical principles that will meet you where you are as a parent, whether you have a toddler or a teenager in your home.

I am confident that what God calls us to, He WILL equip us with what we need! I am excited about the opportunity to learn and grow with brothers and sisters in Christ as we seek His wisdom in His Word to point us, as parents, into His presence as we live out the 4 Biblical principles of training and trusting, imitating our King, leading with love, and teaching with grace.
